Transient Thermal Cooling of Electronics Systems using Functional Graded Fins: Hybrid Computational Analysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Passive cooling of electronics systems requires the use fins and spines. Improved heat transfer enhancements in have been achieved through porosity, magnetic field, functionally graded materials, etc. However, space time-dependent analysis passive device with inherent nonlinearities explorations conditions at tip not fully presented. Therefore, this work presents an application hybrid computation using combined methods Laplace transformation Legendre wavelet collocation to nonlinear thermal models a longitudinal conductive-radiative extended surface. The spatial-dependent conductivity is considered for three different cases. present results demonstrated good agreement numerical results. significances model's pertinent parameters on fin’s performance are thoroughly scrutinized aid graphical illustrations. fin response decreases increase conductive-convective parameters, but it increases as time progresses. in-homogeneity index directly proportional FGM temperature. convective term inversely distribution. temperature under quadratic-law shows enhanced lower distribution than linear- exponential-law conductivity. Ultimately, study provides very useful design FGM.

Two-phase refrigerant flow instability analysis and active control in transient electronics cooling systems

Two-loop refrigeration systems are being explored for two-phase cooling of ultra high power electronic components. For effective and efficient thermal management of electronic systems, active control methods are desired to suppress inherent flow instabilities especially in transient applications. This paper presents a framework for the transient analysis and active control of pressure-drop flow...

Microjet Cooling Devices for Thermal Management of Electronics

This research is an effort to demonstrate the applicability of miniaturized synthetic jet (microjet) technology to the area of thermal management of microelectronic devices. Synthetic jets are jets which are formed from entrainment and expulsion of the fluid in which they are embedded. Design issues of microjet cooling devices are discussed along with characterization of excitation elements and...

Thermal advection analysis of cooling waves of Iran

Survey of advection of cold waves in Iran is the main aim of this study. In this regard, 45 synoptic stations were employed and studied. In order to investigate the thermal advection of cold waves, 1000, 850, 700 and 500 hp levels were reviewed and analyzed. Results indicated that cold waves in Iran most affected thermal advection caused by Tibet- Siberia, Siberias integrated Turkmenistan high-...
